43% Chenin blanc, 26% Chardonnay, 26% Riesling, 5% Viognier

The Chenin blanc is sourced from a vineyard planted in 1980, situated in the Breedekloof region. The Chardonnay is from a 12 year old block in Montagu. This small vineyard is planted in very dry and rocky Karoo shale soil that results in very low cropping levels with small berries that have immense flavour concentration.  The Riesling is from relatively old bush vines planted in sandy soils in Stellenbosch. This vineyard in the Helderberg was planted in 1982 and these grapes were the best surprise of the 2016 vintage. The Riesling contributes incredible floral aromas of lavender, jasmine and orange blossom and a fantastic acidity that is always associated with Riesling. The 5% Viognier is from Constantia grapes.

This wine is handcrafted in such a way that it demonstrates a very unique Cape White with Chenin as the backbone, and the other varieties offering additional layers of aromatics, texture and freshness. It is an honest and elegant wine and the idea is to showcase the diversity of Western Cape soils and climates in one harmonious blend. Production volume 2464 bottles.
